On August 12, 2018, researchers from Check Point Software Technologies disclosed “Faxploit” vulnerability of HP Inkjet All-In-One printers. They showed that the attacker could gain complete control over the printer via a crafted jpeg color Fax data that is sent over the Fax line which can inject malicious code designed to infiltrate the network devices connected to the HP printer.
That research targeted HP devices, but Konica Minolta investigated the possibility whether our MFP products have same Faxploit vulnerability.
Impact for DEVELOP products
All of DEVELOP multifunction printers are not affected by the Faxploit vulnerability.
